Yuanyan Qiang

Yuanyan (Georgianna) is currently a PhD student in the Department of Psychology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, under the supervision of Prof. Yingyi Hong and Prof. Ivy Wong. Before that, she obtained a Bachelor's degree in sociology from Shaanxi Normal University, and completed a Master's degree in Psychology from Beijing Normal University.

Her research interests lie in the captivating realm of group relations, her primary pursuit is to explore why and how we respond (e.g., evaluation, emotion, behavior) differently towards various group members. She is also recently taken an interest in Imposter Syndrome, within this intriguing psychological phenomenon, she aspires to explore how it manifests and influences individuals through the lens of gender.
