The culture lab is seeking applications for student helpers under the Student Helper Engagement Scheme in the 2023 Spring semester.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate students from CUHK

  • Preferably have a background in Psychology, Sociology, or other Social Sciences Disciplines

  • Native Cantonese speaker with proficiency in English;

  • Proficient in Chinese and English typing;

  • Interested in research or future plan to go for research study;

  • Responsible and detail-oriented.


Responsibilities:

  • ​Assist in data management

  • Assist in data entry

  • Administrative tasks

  • Other research related tasks

Research Assistant

The Department of Management is seeking applications for a Research Assistant position. We are looking for applicants who have strong analytical skills in statistics.

 

The appointee will be supervised by Professor Ying-yi Hong (www.bschool.cuhk.edu.hk/staff/hong-ying-yi/) to investigate the impacts of culture on decision-making, identity, and intergroup relations. Information about our research and lab activity is available on the Culture Lab website (www.yingyihong.org).

 

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Business, or other social sciences disciplines; (ii) strong Chinese and English communication skills; (iii) knowledge of statistical analyses (including latent profile analysis, multi-level analysis, time-series analysis etc.); and (iv) proficiency in using statistical software such as SPSS, R, etc. Knowledge of DirectRT or E-prime is preferred.

 

Duties include (a) analyzing datasets from experiments, surveys, and longitudinal and multi-countries studies; (b) data processing; and/or (c) other related research work.

 

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
