She is mainly interested in environmental psychology. Her research focuses on how personal
factors (e.g., materialism, future orientation) affect people’s pro-environmental attitudes and
behaviors. She also aims to understand how people respond to serious environmental
problems (e.g., air pollution, natural resource scarcity) from different perspectives.

Dian is currently a PhD student in the Department of Psychology, The Chinese University of
Hong Kong, under the supervision of Prof. Ying-Yi Hong. Before joining the lab, she
received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in psychology from Beijing Normal University.
